1. The Indian State Media reported on 14.05.2025 that India successfully destroyed nine major terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), targeting Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen facilities. Over 100 terrorists were killed in action.
- Operation SINDOOR drew a new red line- if terror is state policy, it will be met with a visible and forceful response. This marked a shift from deterrence to direct action
- India rejected the artificial separation between terrorists and their backers, striking both simultaneously. This ended the impunity enjoyed by many Pakistan-based actors.

According to an official statement issued by the Border Security Force (BSF), an Indian BSF Constable, who had inadvertently crossed into Pakistani territory along the Punjab border on 23.04.2025, was repatriated on 14.05.2025 by the Pakistan Rangers. The exchange took place at the Attari-Wagah border at around 1030 hrs.

- The latest measures come amid heightened tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, and India's subsequent retaliatory military action, dubbed Operation Sindoor, against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). On May 8, social media platform X confirmed that it had received executive orders from the Indian government to block access to over 8,000 accounts within Indian jurisdiction.
- While no official list of all blocked accounts has been released by Indian authorities, a number of high-profile handles, including those of TRT World, and Chinese state-backed Global Times and Xinhua, and Pakistani political figures, have been restricted within India.

The chief of the defence staff (CDS) and the three service chiefs (India) on 14.05.2025 briefed Indian President Droupadi Murmu on how Operation Sindoor was planned, executed during 07.05.2025 – 10.05.2025 with minimum collateral damage, and the goals achieved as India’s direct military response to the Pahalgam terror attack unfolded in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
- The Rashtrapati Bhavan said after the meeting that the President commended the valour and the dedication of the armed forces that made India’s response to terrorism a sterling success.
6. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the U.S., Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has appreciated the U.S. for timely intervention that facilitated a ceasefire and de-escalation between India and Pakistan.
7. According to an Indian based media on 14.05.2025, India and Pakistan are likely to exchange plans on the modalities of de-escalation of troops deployed along the borders by 14.05.2025,
- Reportedly, this includes moving soldiers and equipment and platforms, which were deployed amid Operation Sindoor, from the forward defences of both sides to their pre-April locations.
8. Pakistan returned a captured border guard to India on 14.05.2025, in a fresh sign of detente after a ceasefire ended four days of conflict between the nuclear-armed rivals.
