INDIA-PAKISTAN TENSION - 2025.06.13 | SITUATION UPDATE

Since both countries reached a ceasefire agreement no any violations by both parties reported. However, the situation remains volatile due to the unaddressed grievances such as the India's Stance on Indus Water treaty.

1.  Former Indian National Security Advisor, Mr. Shivshankar has said India failed to establish a global narrative during the recent Indo-Pak tensions.

In an interview with Mr. Karan Thapar (Indian journalist), Mr. Shivshankar said Pakistan quickly presented clear evidence and solidified its position in front of the international media. 

Mr. Shivshankar said Indian Prime Minister Mr. Modi’s sluggish and weak diplomatic approach has caused irreparable damage to India’s global reputation.

2.  In Jammu and Kashmir, in a significant move to combat terrorism, the India Ramban Police has attached immovable property of a Pakistan-based terrorist under section 83 Code of Criminal Procedure under the jurisdiction of Police Station Banihal village, Jammu & Kashmir.

3.  Pakistan Additional Foreign Secretary Mr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui said that the unresolved Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains the central impediment to regional peace during the senior officials meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum held in Kuala Lumpur on 11.06.2025.

Welcoming the recently agreed ceasefire between Pakistan and India, Mr. Imran reiterated Pakistan's commitment to dialogue and peaceful dispute resolution, with full respect for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination.
