1. Indian Government is sending multi-party delegations to different countries to present India’s stand against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in the wake of Operation Sindoor, according to the Indian State media.
- The seven delegations are set to visit key partner countries, including members of the UN Security Council later this month.
- The delegations will project India's national consensus and resolute approach to combating terrorism in all forms and manifestations.
- They would carry forth to the world, India's strong message of zero-tolerance against terrorism.
- The delegations include MPs from different political parties, prominent political personalities, and distinguished diplomats.
2. As a mark of respect and solidarity with the Indian Army, Pondicherry University organized a Tiranga victory march on the campus. Puducherry Lt. Governor K. Kailasanathan hoists the national flag and formally flags off the rally.
3. Pakistan's High Commission in Canada organized an event to observe "Youm-e-Tashakkur" to pay tribute to the entire Pakistani Nation and the Armed Forces for their profound national unity and bravery during "Operation Bunyaan-um-Marsoos" and "Marka-e-Haq".
4. Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR), Pakistan has released a special song "Hifazat Tere Hum Karein Gay Watan" on magnificent victory of armed forces in Marka-e-Haq and operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.
- Karachi Port Trust also held an event on the occasion of Youm-e-Tashakkur to celebrate the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.
- In North Waziristan, solidarity rallies in support of Pakistan Army were held to celebrate the historic success of operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.
5. Pakistan's Ambassador to US Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has said Pakistan's armed forces and two hundred and fifty million people stood like a solid wall in the face of Indian aggression.
6. Pakistan and Turkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to enhance cooperation on matters of mutual interest and promoting regional peace and stability.
7. Pakistani Prime Minister Mr. Shehbaz Sharif on 16.05.2025 reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire for peace, saying “We won the war against ‘arch-rival’ but sought peace and invited India to live as a peaceful neighbor, amid country-wide celebrations to mark the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
8. Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in Pakistan, has lauded Iran’s peace efforts in the recent Pakistan-India conflict and warned of forces seeking to create a rift among brotherly countries.
9. UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Mr. David Lammy on 17.05.2025 urged “all sides” to abide by their treaty obligations, referring to India’s move last month to hold the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) with Pakistan in abeyance unilaterally.
- During his interview with Reuters, Mr. Lammy also said Britain was working with the US to ensure a ceasefire between India and Pakistan endures.
- Mr. Lammy also said Britain would continue to work with Pakistan on countering “terrorism”, saying that it is “a terrible blight on this country and its people, and of course on the region”.
